Mrs. Fabsik and I created a mock argument for the sixth graders in an attempt to show the value of primary sources and to show them to be careful when analyzing primary sources. Immediately after our argument we asked the students to summarize everything the events witnessed. Few students summarized it completely and accurately. This is why students should use a combination of primary and secondary sources in their research.
