Mr. Rezac, the head of technology software at Quest Academy, presented different technology options to Quest sixth graders in Mr. Shilhanek’s class. Mr. Shilhanek’s students are becoming story tellers from a certain character’s point of view (Jim, Huck, Tom, Mark Twain, or even society). Students are also presenting a Huck Finn route map in which they analyze at least three events from the novel and compare them to events at the time historically to understand why it was written. It is an interesting look at how history created the environment that motivated Mark Twain to write about. Students may also present a plot chart, which will analyze plot events and how these events relate the overall themes.
