8th Graders Present Country Information before Great War

Quest Academy eighth graders presented information about their countries in preparation for the Great War Prevention Conference. Students have learned that Franz Ferdinand has been assassinated and that Austro-Hungary’s 12 demands on Serbia cannot all be accepted. Diplomats realize that Teddy Roosevelt’s worry about a world war breaking out because of power politics could be coming to a reality. The diplomats have an important job next Thursday. Lets hope they can avert a war. The eighth graders are also reading All Quiet on the Western Front in conjunction with our Great War study. They are annotating and answering literature response questions. It promises to be an event-filled experience prior to the eighth grade musical and catalyst toward our fantastic trip to Washington, D.C. Enjoy.
