Mr. Shilhanek’s Quest Academy seventh graders have learned the Cornell Method, Sketchnoting, Roman Numerals, and visual notetaking over History and Life’s chapter 2, covering Ancient Civilizations of Indus Valley, Mesopotamia, Ancient China and Egypt. Students took their final test over the unit and are now going to present the six elements of civilizations, including religion, government, large structures, agriculture/trade, a system of writing and counting, and specialization of labor. Mr. Shilhanek’s seventh graders will then read the epic of Beowulf.
