Author Sasha Dawn to Conduct Writers’ Workshop with Quest Middle Schoolers

Sasha Dawn, author of the YA thriller Oblivionis going to conduct a Writers’ Workshop with Quest Academy sixth, seventh, and eighth graders Thursday, Dec. 15. Bio: Sasha Dawn lives in her native northern Illinois, where she cheers on her beloved White Sox with her daughters, husband, and puppies. She teaches college English and enjoys working with writers of all ages. Her work has been critically acclaimed by ALA, Kirkus Reviews, and School Library Journal. Her debut young adult psychological suspense, Oblivion, was named best books for teens by the New York Public Libraries in 2014 and has been named to the featured reads list for Illinois Reading Council in 2016. The book has been translated and published in Germany and was hailed as one of Lebanon’s top ten beach reads in 2015. Her next contracted works, Splinter (March 2017) and Blink (2018) are also of the YA genre; however, she is currently in contract negotiations for her eighth adult novel (a psychological suspense/thriller currently entitled Trespassing). She enjoys dance of all genres, notably tap and lyrical jazz, American history, and interior design.
