Mr. Shilhanek’s seventh graders have completed their own Hero’s cycle in preparation for their own written epic. Students read, discussed, and answered literary questions about Beowulf. Now these seventh-grade students are challenged with creating their own epics. These epics must integrate all the hero’s cycle elements like Beowulfor any other epics do. Students are editing each other’s work on Google Docs.
