In a preview of readingDragonwings by Laurence Yep, Mr. Shilhanek’s LASS class analyzed Angel Island poems and will present them to class Tuesday. In order to understand more of what Moonshadow and his father Windrider suffer in their efforts to get to know one another in this land called America, the study of Angel Island will help the students to understand issues the two face during the reading. The kids did a great job.
